Who Qualifies for assistance

Medicare

Clients with a chronic condition may be eligible to access exercise physiology services through the Enhanced Primary Care program. This program allows 5 visits with an allied health professional each calendar year. At present the Medicare rebate per session is $50.05 If you are unsure whether you are eligible for a care plan discuss with your GP.  More information can be obtained from Medicare www.medicare.gov.au


Department of Veteran Affairs

Veterans may be able to access exercise physiology services.  Access to these services requires a referral form from your general practitioner (D904). These sessions are bulk billed, resulting in no cost to you. More information can be obtained from your GP, or at the Department of Veteran Affairs website www.dva.gov.au


Private Health Funds

A number of private health funds offer rebates for exercise physiology services to their members. These include: GMF Health, MBF, Grand United, Australian Unity, Medibank, NIB, Teacher’s Federation, HBF, AHM, CBHS, HCF and Reserve Bank. The amount of rebate depends upon the individual’s health fund and their level of cover. Please contact your individual health fund to discuss rebates, and be sure to mention this to your exercise physiologist before proceeding.   Please note that private health fund members may also be eligible for Medicare rebates, but will not be able to claim a Medicare and private health rebate for the same session. 


WorkCover Qld

Rehabilitation and work conditioning programs are able to be provided for injured workers with WorkCover Queensland. Referrals can be made by the individual worker themselves or by their case manager. Costs of exercise physiology services are based on the Q-Comp table of costs. For more details contact us, or visit either www.workcoverqld.com.au or www.qcomp.com.au


WorkCover NSW

Rehabilitation and work conditioning programs are able to be provided for injured workers with WorkCover NSW. Referrals can be made by the individual worker themselves or by their case manager. Costs of exercise physiology services are based on the Workers Compensation Act of 1987. For more details contact us, or visit www.workcover.nsw.gov.au


Occupational Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation, work conditioning and pain management programs are able to be offered to individuals and companies on a case by case basis. If you have any questions contact us.
