Physical Conditioning Programs

An initial assessment can help highlight problem or weak areas, or a program can be devised to meet your specific demands. Physical conditioning programs are able to target one particular area of weakness or imbalance, or a number, depending on your individual requirements.


Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation

Recognised as a provider for both WorkCover Queensland and NSW, previous work with a number of Job Networks and the Wesley Rehabilitation Centre means a great deal of knowledge and experience in the field of musculoskeletal rehabilitation with regard to injured workers. Involvement with elite athletes in a variety of sports has lead to an understanding of the demands placed on athletes as well as the importance of a timely recovery, and reducing the chance of re-injury in the future. We are able to offer tailored programs to all elite athletes and teams.


Back Care

Back pain is the most common injury seen here at GCEP. It is also one of the most treatable. No matter what your diagnosis, or duration, we can design a program to help you. Education and pain management are key components, along with improving your body awareness and movement patterns.


Pain Management Programs

Chronic pain affects all aspects of life; ability to work, ability to sleep, interaction with family and friends. The key to managing pain is movement. You may think that all movement causes you pain, but improving how you move is crucial to helping you manage pain. Strategies involve simple stretching techniques, relaxation, and education to name a few.

Hydrotherapy

Ideally set in a heated pool to assist with improvements in flexibility, strength, endurance, overall body mechanics, as well as improving current levels of knowledge regarding your condition, and implementing pain management strategies. This type of therapy is a great place to start a rehabilitation program.


Personal Training

Whatever your fitness level, and whatever your goal let us know. We believe that anything is indeed possible with the right program and support. Sometimes a little extra push, or a slight change to your existing program is all the difference you need.


Education and Training

Education sessions highlight how to use the body efficiently and prevent injury, or minimise aggravation of current injuries. They can be tailored to any industry and focus on any health concern you or your employees may have. Improved education results in safer work practices, which can lead to a reduction in injuries at work, and a reduction in time off due to injuries.


Injury Prevention

Many people believe that injuries are part of an active life, but this is not necessarily true. A lot of the body’s aches and pains come about after years of mistreatment. Not stretching enough, a previous injury, your lifestyle, even the type of work you do has an impact on your body and can leave it susceptible to injury. We can identify potential problem areas and help to improve them, minimising the risk of injury, or re-injury.


Chronic Condition Management

If you are suffering from a chronic condition you may be eligible for exercise physiology services through Medicare with an Enhanced Care Plan. Please discuss this with your GP, or give us a call for more information. Our approach will involve an initial assessment to find out more about you, your condition and concerns. We then devise a realistic program to assist you to manage your condition, education to help you understand what we are doing, and answer any questions you may have along the way.


Corporate Health and Wellness Programs

Improving the health of your company can be achieved in a number of different ways. We are able to offer individual programs, simple exercises the whole company can participate in at work, education seminars and interactive workshops.
